Dog Beds
Dogs spend up to 14 hours a day sleeping, so a good bed is one of the most important purchases you'll make. We stock plush bolster beds for dogs that like to curl up, flat mat beds for dogs that sprawl, orthopedic memory foam beds for older dogs or breeds prone to joint issues, and elevated mesh beds that keep your dog cool in summer. Most of our beds have removable, washable covers because dogs and clean bedding don't stay that way for long. Browse the full range in our Pet Beds & Cages collection.
Dog Crates, Playpens & Gates
Crates give your dog a secure den-like space and are essential for crate training, safe car travel and settling new dogs into a household. We carry wire crates with removable trays, collapsible travel crates, heavy-duty options for stronger breeds and soft-sided kennels for smaller dogs. Playpens are ideal for puppies that need a safe enclosed area without free run of the house, and dog gates keep them out of rooms they shouldn't be in during training. The right crate should let your dog stand, turn around and lie flat comfortably. More options, including rabbit hutches and cat enclosures, are in our Pet Beds & Cages collection.
Collars, Harnesses & Leads
Every dog needs at least a collar with ID tags and a reliable lead. We stock adjustable nylon and leather collars, reflective and LED collars for visibility on evening walks, no-pull harnesses for dogs that drag you down the street, padded vest harnesses for smaller breeds, standard leads, retractable leads and long training lines for recall practice. If your dog pulls hard, a front-clip harness changes the game more than most people expect. See the full walking gear range in our Pet Collars & Accessories collection.
Dog Toys
A bored dog is a destructive dog. Chew toys redirect gnawing away from your shoes and furniture. Puzzle feeders and treat-dispensing toys keep them mentally engaged, especially when left alone during the day. Rope toys are great for tug-of-war and double as a teeth-cleaning tool. Squeaky plush toys suit gentler players and puppies. For heavy chewers, stick to tough rubber or nylon toys rated for aggressive chewing, because a standard plush toy will last about three minutes. More toy options are in our Pet Feeding & Toys collection.
Dog Feeding Accessories
Stainless steel bowls are the most hygienic and durable option for daily feeding. Elevated feeders reduce neck strain for larger breeds and older dogs. Slow-feed bowls are worth it if your dog inhales their food in seconds, as they force slower eating and reduce the risk of bloat. We also stock automatic feeders for scheduled meals, portable water bottles for walks and food storage containers that keep kibble fresh. Browse more feeding gear in our Pet Feeding & Toys collection.
Dog Grooming Essentials
Regular brushing reduces shedding, prevents matting and keeps your dog's coat in good shape. We carry slicker brushes, de-shedding tools for double-coated breeds, nail clippers, electric nail grinders and grooming gloves for dogs that don't love being brushed. How often you groom depends on the coat: short-haired breeds like Staffies need a weekly brush, while long-haired breeds like Cavaliers or Collies benefit from grooming every couple of days. See the full range in our Pet Grooming collection.
Dog Training Supplies
House-training a puppy or working on obedience with an older dog? Puppy pads, clickers, training whistles, treat pouches, and long lines are the core tools that make training sessions more effective. Consistency matters more than anything else, and having the right gear just removes friction from the process. Puppy pads in particular are essential for those first few weeks when a new dog is learning where to go. More training products in our Pet Training collection.
Dog Car Seat Covers & Travel Gear
If your dog comes in the car, your seats need protection. Our car seat covers are waterproof, scratch-resistant and easy to install with headrest straps and seatbelt openings. We also stock dog booster seats for small breeds that like to see out the window, dog seat belts that clip to a harness for safety, and travel mats that work in boots and on back seats. Anyone who's tried cleaning muddy paw prints and dog hair out of fabric upholstery knows that prevention is much easier than the alternative.
More from Our Pet Range
Dogs are only one part of the household. Our broader Pets range also includes Cat Supplies for everything feline, plus category-specific collections for Beds & Cages, Collars & Accessories, Feeding & Toys, Grooming and Training. If you're furnishing the rest of the house around a new dog, our Rugs range has pet-friendly options, and our Cleaning Supplies range will help manage the inevitable mess.
Dog Supplies - Common Questions
What supplies do I need for a new puppy?
Start with a bed or crate, food and water bowls, a collar with an ID tag, a lead, puppy pads, a few chew toys, basic grooming tools (brush and nail clipper), and an enzymatic cleaner for accidents. A dog gate is also helpful for restricting access to certain rooms during house training. You can add more as you work out what your puppy actually needs.
What size crate should I get for my dog?
Measure your dog from nose to base of tail and add about 10cm for length. Measure from the floor to the top of the head for height. The crate should be big enough for your dog to stand, turn around and lie flat, but not so roomy that they use one end as a toilet. For puppies, buy the adult size and use a divider panel while they grow.
How do I stop my dog from chewing furniture?
Provide plenty of appropriate chew toys and rotate them to keep things interesting. Most destructive chewing comes from boredom, teething (in puppies) or anxiety. Increase physical exercise and mental stimulation through walks, puzzle feeders and training sessions. If your dog targets a specific piece of furniture, apply a pet-safe bitter spray as a deterrent and redirect to a chew toy every time.
How often should I wash my dog's bed?
Once a week is ideal if your dog sleeps on it daily. At a minimum, every two weeks. Dogs bring in dirt, shed fur and produce oils that build up quickly. Most of our dog beds have removable, machine-washable covers for exactly this reason. Washing regularly also helps control odour and reduces allergens in your home.
Is a harness better than a collar for walking?
For most dogs, a harness is safer and more comfortable, especially if they pull. Collars put all the pressure on the neck, which can cause strain or injury over time. A front-clip harness redirects pulling force to the side, which naturally discourages it. Flat collars are still useful for ID tags and casual wear, but a harness is generally the better choice for actual walks and training.
